Emergency Notification and Mass Communication

In a crisis, such as an active shooter or a natural disaster, information is the most valuable security asset. Mass Notification Systems (MNS) allow security to broadcast instructions across multiple channels simultaneously:

  • Overhead PA systems.

  • Desktop alerts on every computer in the hospital.

  • SMS and voice calls to staff personal devices.

  • Digital signage in waiting rooms.

In 2025, these systems use Dynamic Wayfinding, sending different exit instructions to different parts of the building to avoid "bottlenecks" and steer people away from the source of the danger.
